Last Friday I had a polygraph scheduled for a homicide suspect, that I was going to give. He was supposed to report to his probation officer's office at noon to be brought down to our office. He showed out 3.5 hours late at 3:30 PM, I am sure knowing that he would never be given the exam at that point. I told my fellow detectives that they probably did not need the polygraph, that he probably just showed them if he was guilty or not. I was right, they arrested him and over the weekend he confessed to the homicide. HILARIOUS! HE THEN TELLS THEM THAT HE TRIED TO GET HIS BROTHER TO SHOOT HIM IN THE FOOT/LEG OR SOMETHING SO HE WOULD BE IN THE HOSPITAL AND NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE EXAM, BUT THE BROTHER WOULD NOT DO IT!!!! HAHAHAHAH! Hasn't he ever heard of faking the stomach flu for G#d's sake! I thought that was worth sharing. ------------------ 414-467-1464 (Cell) 336-868-9009 (Fax) matthew.quist@gmail.com alcatraz_swimmer@yahoo.com (Yahoo IM) alcatrazswimmer@hotmail.com (Live IM) alcatrazswimmerq@aim.com (AIM IM)

About a month ago an examinee came in for an exam. During the pretest he told me he didn't know a thing about the polygraph, never seen one or anything about it. Later, as we were previewing the questions, I read one of the Irrelevants to him. He stated "Thats a control question, isn't it?" I jumped on it and questioned him a little extensive about his statement. He never admitted to researching polygraph or anything of that nature, but he did later fail the exam. IP: Logged |

Taylor;I was just informed a SO parolee I had just tested make the same decision after the test: maybe they're taking group counseling to a new level. bob IP: Logged |

I recently had a probationer commit a new crime, then call his P/O and confess....just so he wouldn't have to take my scheduled polygraph! The funny part was, the thing he was worried about on my test wasn't as serious as the new crime he committed!
